NO ACTRESS CAN SURVIVE ON MOVIES ALONE – SAYS NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS IYABO OJO

Apparently, Yoruba speaking actresses are terribly underpaid for starring in movies.

Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has revealed that it is impossible for actresses in the Yoruba sector of the industry to survive solely on the money they make from acting.

The mother of two, says most Yoruba female actors have side businesses, which they make money from, while also acting.

In a recent interview with PlaygroundTV, she said, “It is not possible for Yoruba speaking actress to rely on movies alone. How do you want to survive on that? Acting is just something I like to do, whether it is rewarding or not.”

Ojo also added that she had been involved in a couple of business ventures before she went into acting.

“Like I said, even before I became an actress, I have always been into buying and selling of goods. I was even into property at a particular point. The most important thing in life is to learn how to manage what you have to make the best out of it,” she added
