I want to be a Sex symbol- Caroline Sam

In an interview with former prostitute turned musician Caroline Sam, she said that she had what it took to make it in the music industry including a secret weapon she was about to share.

The pretty mother of one who is also known as Maheeda in the industry told the Potpourri why she was using nudity and sex to bolster sales of first her gospels and now her secular music.

The singer said that she was a pioneer of sorts and she was not afraid to tread on a path that no others had taken so far, according to her other musicians were too tied up in their inhibitions to take any new daring paths.

She said that despite the social tag of being the bad girl in the industry she did not accept that she was one. She said that one of her fantasies was to see her posters on the walls of people’s bedrooms. She said that she wanted to become a sex symbol in the country like the ones people fantasize about.

The singer of Lasgidi Chick and Naija Bad Girl further said that if such things work abroad they should work in Nigeria too. She said she knows the path will be difficult but she was prepared to fight for it.

She said that she was prepared to become a sex symbol because she knew sex sells and she wanted to both make money and become famous. According to her this was still virgin territory as people in the Nigerian music industry were afraid to tread this path.
